What can 5 bucks buy you these days? A rose? That’s 10 bucks. A chocolate? That’s 15. A soft drink? 20. A phone recharge? Never mind….. In the times of high-speed internet, mobile phones, Whatsapp and Xbox games, this evergreen simple story of Hamid and his granny Ameena teaches us that 5 bucks can buy you a lot more than it seems -Trust, gratitude, love, compassion and a whole lot of kindness. Something the world surely needs.

Synopsis

Ameena, a poor old lady lives in a tiny village in the foothills of the Himalayas, with her 7-year-old grandson Hamid. It’s the last day of Ramadan and Hamid is excited by the prospect of breaking his final fast and celebrating Eid and going to the fair with his friends. But when the five-rupee coin his grandmother has been saving for his Eid gift goes missing, a chain of events start that end up with grandmother and grandson discovering hidden sides to each other.
